Australia counts with 38 public universities and two private universities (Bond University and University of Notre Dame); the most famous are the “Group of Eight”: University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, Adelaide University, Australian National University, University of Western Australia, Monash University and University of New South Wales, although Macquarie University is among the best in Australia in Commerce and Management training.

According to the THES (Times Higher Education Supplement), 6 Australian universities are ranked among the 50 best universities in the world whereas according to Newsweek, only 2 Australian universities are ranked among the 50 best universities in the world.
This means that all information provided on world rankings have to be considered lightly knowing that the measurement of quality are very often based on different grounds: generally speaking universities are ranked according to their Research and Development capacities and the number of research papers and journals published.

You also need to know that the reputation of a university does not automatically apply for all the faculties; some unranked universities can be very famous for certain careers. Nowdays English training in Australia offers multiple options : General English, Business English, Academic English, exams preparation such as TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, TOIEC ... We have selected the following programmes we consider the most adapted to your business needs and objectives.

Technical details
- The fees indicated below are in Australian dollars and only include the tuition fees without including the enrolment, accommodation, book materials and insurance fees.
- Intensive courses mean 25h per week (20h face to face teaching + 5h self access studies).
- Timetable: from Monday to Friday, generally from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm. Classes include 15 to 20 minutes breaks in the morning and 30 to 45 minutes break for lunch.
- Maximum numbers of students per class: 18 ; average: 12 to 15 students.
- The duration you have chosen for your English training in Australia will determine the relevant visa to apply for: tourist or Business visa (12 weeks maximum), Working Holiday visa (16 weeks maximum), student visa (12 weeks intensive minimum), sponsorship or resident visa (no limitation).

General English: includes all skills to learn English (reading, grammar, writing, conversation, listening and prononciation), based on general topics; from beginner to advanced; Interesting option : TOIEC exam preparation.

- Fees: from AU$ 235 to 360/week (intensive).

Business English: programme specialised in the business vocabulary and expressions ; highly recommended for those coming for a professional objective.
- Start dates : every Monday or every 5 weeks.
- Pre-requisites: minimum intermediate level of English.
- Duration: from 4 to 20 weeks.
- Fees: from AU$295/week (intensive).

- TOEIC exam preparation: theTOIEC exam is more and more recognised by employers all around the world as an evidence of your English level. This preparation is often combined with a General English course, the demand for an intensive course not being high enough yet.
- Start dates : every Monday or every 4 weeks.
- Duration: from 4 to 20 weeks.
- Fees: from AU$280/week (intensive).

Academic English/IELTS preparation (International English Language Scoring System): prepares students to pursue their vocational or university studies in Australia; concentrates on the techniques you will need to be admitted in higher education institutions - for ex: essay writing, presentations, note taking, listening… and that helps you obtain the following scores: IELTS 6.0-6.5 overall (academic) for all university studies or IELTS 5.5 overall (General Training) for all vocational courses.
- Start dates : generally every 5 or 10 weeks.
- Pre-requisites: minimum intermediate level of English.
- Duration: from 5 to 52 weeks.
- Fees: from AU$ 275 to 355/week (intensive).
NB: TOEFL preparation courses are seldom offered in Australia, so it is more interesting to enrol in IELTS preparation courses if you are planning to study in Australia .

Package English + Specialisation: programme ideal for those who plan to study at least 9 months in Australia to improve their English: this package consists of 10 weeks of intensive English + 6 month vocational course of your choice (ex: Business, Marketing, Retail Management, Tourism…): you will obtain 2 qualifications and will pay only for one student visa!!
- Start dates : every month to twice per year.
- Pre-requisites: minimum intermediate level of English.
- Duration: 9 month minimum.
- Fees: from AU$ 3950 to AU$15.000 total.

If your level of English is intermediate, you can follow vocational short courses, from 10 to 20 weeks, either to improve the specific vocabulary of your profession in English or complement your career with another field of study. These trainings are useful in these conditions rather than thinking you will improve your professional know how since these studies are vocational and not at university level. The qualification you will obtain will be a Certificate II or Certificate of Attainment (for 3 months training) or Certificate III or IV or Diploma (for 6 months training).
The 3-month trainings are limited to the following specialties : business, marketing, tourism and Information Technology whereas the 6-month trainings apply to all specialties.

- Start dates: from 2 to 4 times per year.
- Pre-requisites: minimum intermediate level of English
- Duration: from 10 to 25 weeks, 20h teaching per week.
- Fees: from AU$ 1,500 to 7,000.

If your level of English is intermediate, you can apply for trainings in your field of expertise without seating for the IELTS or TOEFL exam. These vocational trainings are useful to improve the vocabulary of your professional field in English or to reconvert to a new field of expertise. The qualification you will obtain will be a Certificate III or IV (for 6 month training) or Diploma (for 1 to 1,5 year training) or Advanced Diploma (for 1,5 to 2 years training). These trainings are open to all specialties.

- Start dates: from 2 to 4 times a year.
- Pre-requisites: minimum intermediate level of English.
- Duration: from 6 months to 2 years, 20h class per week.
- Fees: from AU$ 3,000 to 7,000/semester.

Technical details
Masters are part of the Postgraduates (that regroup the Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Masters Coursework and Research, PHDs). Masters can last from 1 to 2 years according to the selected field of study and university.
- Start date: either in February - March or July - August each year.
- The careers that the universities in Australia offer to International Students are limited in comparison with the ones offered to Australians.
- Payments are done every semester.
- The careers in the universities in Australia are endless and divided in “Faculties”: you will find the same classification as in most universities in the world, except that in Australia universities are in charge of training all careers : engineers, teachers, doctors, lawyers… .
- Description: the university academic year is divided into 2 semesters of + or - 20 weeks, a total per semester of 4 subjects of 3 hours each; final exams every end of semester; this means that in Australia, you will have to complete 8 different subjects per year and seat 4 final exams per semester. Each subject has a certain number of credits, from 4 to 12 credits maximum: the highest the credits the hardest the subject.

The application procedures to study in Australia are quite easy but you need to respect the following steps to avoid complications:

Step 1: Contact us to define the specifications of the programmes and/or institutions in Australia that are of interest to you.

Step 2: As soon as we receive your enquiry, we will propose you several options containing details of programmes, costs, conditions...

Step 3: Select the course and Australian institutions where you are planning to study.

Step 4: Fill in the application form of the selected institution which we will send you along with the list of conditions, pre-requisites and documents to provide.

Step 5: Send the application form back to us with all required and certified documentation by mail or email.

Step 6: Within 48 hours, we will send you a Letter of Offer that confirms your enrolment in Australia as well as an invoice (except for all applications to universities, it can take between 2 weeks and 2 months).

Step 7: Pay the amount indicated in the invoice either by telegraphic transfer or credit card and send us the copy of the payment to speed up the acknowledgement of your payment.

Step 8: As soon as your Australian institution receives your payment, you will receive either a receipt if you are on a tourist visa or WHV or a e-COE (Confirmation of Enrolment), vital to apply for the student visa.

Step 9: You are now ready to apply fo the student visa (or tourist or WHV visa if you have done it yet). We will then indicate you the steps to follow.

Step 10: As soon as you receive your visa, you will need to confirm your accommodation details (Homestay or welcome pack), arrival details (airport pick-up or not) and your flight details to Australia.
